On Thursday, June 10 from 8 am to 4 pm, the emergency preparedness conference � �On the Path of Emergency Preparedness� � hosted by Connecticut Community Care, Inc. and sponsored by The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., will be held at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, Conn. The conference�s main focus will be on how to mobilize the elderly and individuals with functional limitations if a disaster occurs in the state.

On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, in the North Lobby of the State Capitol, North Central Aging and Disability Partnership (NCADP), a partnership among Connecticut Community Care, Inc., Independence Unlimited, Inc., and North Central Area Agency on Aging, celebrated its launch of Connecticut�s third Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Community Choices. More than 100 people were in attendance.

Connecticut Community Care, Inc. (CCCI) was ranked number one in the category of medium employers (25-249 employees) to work for in The NonProfit Times supplement 50 Nonprofits to Work for in 2010. CCCI ranked number five overall.

The 50 Nonprofits to Work for in 2010 supplement appeared in the April 2010 issue of The NonProfit Times, the leading national business publication for nonprofit management. The NonProfit Times partnered with Best Companies Group to find the organizations where the employees enjoyed going to work, and therefore, delivered on the organization's mission.

Employees of the organizations were emailed a link to the online survey Best Companies Group, a third-party agency, tabulated the confidential questionnaires filled out by the organizations' management and employees.

The Top 10 were:

2. Baptist Easley
3. Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice
4. The Rideshare Company
5. Connecticut Community Care, Inc.
